Let there be love in Occi

A cabaret, a diva, champagne and chocolate – those are the ingredients for a romantic Valentine evening at Occidental Center for the Arts. On Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.  vocalist  Bonnie Brooks with John Simon on piano, Cliff Hugo on bass, Michael Brandeburg on drums and Mel Martin on sax, the group will provide jazz, ballads and bebop love songs. It’s called “Let There Be Love” and the $25 ticket includes a free glass of bubbly and a chocolate. Tickets are $45 for couples. Reservations are advised. Call 874-9392. There is cabaret and concert seating, and it is wheelchair accessible. The center is at 3850 Doris Murphy Court in Occidental, in Harmony Village.
