Call to artists. What is your concept of reflections? If you have art that expresses it bring it to Sebastopol Center for the Arts for the upcoming show called Reflections. They can be delivered between 3 and 6 p.m. to the center where you can fill out an entry form and pay an entry fee. The show is juried. Go to sebarts.org for entry forms and information.
Monday (1/7) is Artists and Models night at Aubergine. Artist Stanley Mouse and other artists paint and sculpt live models to music by local bands beginning at 6 p.m. Free admission. Aubergine is at 755 Petaluma Ave in Sebastopol. Call 823-3460 for information.

Heart to Paper, a six week writing class, begins Wednesday (1/9) at Infusions Tea House in the Whole Foods Center in Sebastopol. Teacher is Margaret C. Murray. Readers, prepare to get excited. – you have a treat coming. Wednesday (1/9) Sebastopol Friends of the Library launch a four day fundraiser book sale. On Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. you get first choice. Thursday the sale runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday is half price day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Finally on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. all the books left over can be purchased for $5 a grocery bag full. The library is at the corner of Bodega Ave. and High St.

Saving out historic churches – that’s the reason for a great bash on Saturday (1/12) from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Union Hotel in Occidental. Sweet music comes to the Occidental Center for the Arts when a group of superb chamber musicians and contra-tenor Christopher Fritzsche bring an afternoon of Three Centuries of Lyricism on Sunday (1/13) at 4 p.m. The performance is a benefit for OCA.
