The sounds of winter in Occidental
It is Winterlude time again. Each winter sweet music comes to the Occidental Center for the Arts when a group of superb chamber musicians and contra-tenor Christopher Fritzsche perform. They will bring an afternoon of Three Centuries of Lyricism on Sunday (1/13) at 4 p.m. The concert features Brahms Trio with Norma Brown, piano; Jeff Chan, clarinet; Valerie Marshall, cello. Fritzche with Daniel Celiidore on oboe will perform a Vaughan Williams’ work based on the poems of William Blake. The Santa Rosa Chamber Orchestra ,directed by Nick Xenelis will perform Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante. Winterlude is a benefit for OCA.
