Occidental Arts and Ecology Center begins a workshop on sustaining intentional communities Monday (11/5). To register go to oaec.org. The center is at 15290 Coleman Valley Rd., Occidental.

The Sebastopol Senior Center is making a field trip to Shokawah Casino. Pick up is at Sequoia Garden at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (11/7). The cost is $13 and there is a $10 food credit and $10 free play. Call 829-2440 to reserve or for more information.

The Sebastopol Senior Center celebrates Veterans Day Friday (11/9) at 2 p.m. with a free reception that features women warriors who served from World War II to Iraq. There will be music. The center is at 167 N. High St. in Sebastopol. Call 829-2440 for more information.

Inn at the Tides holds a Women in Wine Dinner Series evening with Diane Wilson of the Wilson Winery on Friday (11/9) at 6:30 p.m. The four course dinner and wineis $89 plus tax and gratuity. The Inn at the Tides is on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay. Call 800-541-7788 to make reservations.

Bodega Bay Community Association and the Surfriders Foundation is holding a special event about fisheries and whale songs at the Bodega Bay Community Center Friday (11/9). There is a reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. Michael Stocker will give a talk. It is free. The center is at the corner of Highway1 and Bay Hill Rd.

Analy High School Drama opens “Arsenic and Old Lace” at 7 p.m. on Friday (11/9) at the Analy High School Auditorium in Sebastopol. It plays at 7 p.m. Saturday (11/10) and at 2 p.m. on Sunday (11/11). Tickets are $10 in advance at brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door.

Bodega Land Trust holds its annual dinner and silent auction Satrday (11/10) at 5:30 p.m. It’s at McCaughey Hall in Bodega (the old fire house). Admission is $20 or $15 if you bring a dish to share.

Camp Meeker Fire Department is holding a spaghetti feed and raffle at Anderson Hall on Market St. on Saturday (11/10) from 5 to 9 p.m. Adults dinner is $10, children $6. Contact campmeekerfire.org/blog for more information.

Friends of the Old Grove are holding a work day in conjunction with Landpaths at 9 a.m. Nov. 11 in the grove on Fitzpatrick Lane, west of Occidental. There will be a pot luck lunch at 12:30 p.m. More details at landpaths.org.

Peace and Justice Center is holding its annual Awards Ceremony at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center Sunday (11/11). The event will begin at 5 p.m., with music, a silent auction, a beer and wine bar, and hors d’oeuvres. The award ceremony will run from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., followed by dancing to live music.
