Having senior moments? Come to a free workshop on maximizing your memory at 2 p.m. Tuesday (7/31) at the Sebastopol Senior Center. It’s at 267 N. High St. 829-2440 for more information.

The Bodega Bay Book Discussion Group meets at 7 p.m., Wednesday (8/1) at the Bodega Bay Community Center, 2005 Highway 1. Call 875-9169 to find out what’s on the reading list.

Learn all about the Laguna Farm at 2, 3 and 4 p.m. Thursday (8/2). The organic CSA (Community Shared Agriculture) farm is offering tours. The farm is located at 1764 Cooper Rd. in Sebastopol. Call 823-0823 for more information.

A Feldenkrais movement class intended to improve balance begins from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Sebastopol Senior Center. The class is $8 a session. Center is at 267 N. High St. Call 829-2440 for more information.

WOW – West of the West wine festival featuring two day of seminars and tastings of coastal wines in Sonoma County begins in Occidental at 10 a.m. Saturday and ends at 4 p.m. Sunday. It’s at the Occidental Center for the Arts at 3850 Doris Murphy Court in Occidental. Go to westsonomacoast.com for more information.

Bodega’s Big Event starts at 1- a.m. Sunday (8/5) with Sonoma County’s shortest parade. There will be a tri-tip and chicken barbecue, live music, exhibits, crafts, and lots of fun. Admission is free – but do buy some barbecue. It’s the Volunteer Fire Department’s major fundraiser. It all happens in downtown Bodega.

Tomales Regional History Center is having an exhibit of old photos to commemorate the 100th birthday from 1 to 4 p.m. At the same time in Tomales Town Park there’s a potluck picnic reunion of the classes 1936 to 1949. Alumni can party then stroll down the block to see if they can find their old class pictures.

Occidental Arts and Ecology Center is holding a Wise Water Workshop and tour of the center’s water systems from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $35 to learn how to set up graywater systems, catch roof run off and other conservation methods. The center is at 15290 Coleman Valley Rd. in Occidental. Go to oaec.org to register.
