Hot dogs, ice cream cones and art

Whimsical artist Betty Spindler is opening a show of her ceramics in Gualala at Studio 391. Spindler loves classical American foods and celebrates them in her colorful low-fire works. Studio 391 has decided to celebrate the 4^th of July and summer by showcasing her art. One of her hot dogs is on permanent display at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. A reception for the artist is scheduled  this Saturday, July 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. Studio 391 is at 39102 Ocean Drive in Gualala and is open Fridays through Mondays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
