Hot dogs, ice cream cones and art
Whimsical artist Betty Spindler is opening a show of her ceramics in Gualala at Studio 391. Spindler loves classical American foods and celebrates them in her colorful low-fire works. Studio 391 has decided to celebrate the 4th of July and summer by showcasing her art. One of her hot dogs is on permanent display at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. A reception for the artist is scheduled this Saturday, July 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. Studio 391 is at 39102 Ocean Drive in Gualala and is open Fridays through Mondays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
