It’s time to dye, naturally
Anni Redding will be offering a two day natural dye workshop, and if you wish, a camp out, at Bodega Pastures in Bodega on Monday and Tuesday, June 18 and 19. It is limited to 12 participants who can bring their own fibers or purchase some Bodega Pastures wool. Protein rather than vegetal fibers are preferred but an indigo vat will be available for vegetal fibers. Dyers will gather plants to use for dyes, prepare dyes, then dye. On Monday evening there will be a potluck supper around a camp fire, so those who stay are encouraged to bring musical instruments and poems to read. Participants must bring their own camping equipment, plates, cutlery, lunches for both days. Snacks and breakfast will be provided. The cost for the two days is $90. To register email firstname.lastname@example.org. Anni Redding has been giving workshops on natural dyeing since 2005 and has taught in the Bay Area, Mendocino Art Center, various fiber Guild events and at the American River Conservancy in Coloma.
