It’s time to dye, naturally
Anni Redding will be offering a two day natural dye workshop, and if you wish, a camp out, at Bodega Pastures in Bodega on Monday and Tuesday, June 18 and 19. It is limited to 12 participants who can bring their own fibers or purchase some Bodega Pastures wool. Protein rather than vegetal fibers are preferred but an indigo vat will be available for vegetal fibers. Dyers will gather plants to use for dyes, prepare dyes, then dye. On Monday evening there will be a potluck supper around a camp fire, so those who stay are encouraged to bring musical instruments and poems to read. Participants must bring their own camping equipment, plates, cutlery, lunches for both days. Snacks and breakfast will be provided. The cost for the two days is $90. To register email abigailmyers@comcast.net. Anni Redding has been giving workshops on natural dyeing since 2005 and has taught in the Bay Area, Mendocino Art Center, various fiber Guild events and at the American River Conservancy in Coloma.

Andrea,
Another hippie bunch of crap you love to keep me from commenting on. I know that you will not publish this, but you have to know that I am doing everything in my power to silence you forever. I have even connected former editor Art Volkerts, who I have known for 40 years. He is 92 but still carries a lot of weight. Your lack of respect for the 1st amendment is going to be your downfall. You WILL be silenced.
Sorry you don’t like dying workshops, John. Some people do. Please say hello to Art. He is an old pal from the Press Club and I have a lot of affection for him and his sweet wife.
Mr. “Angus”,
How dare you threaten Andrea, over a harmless piece or not. She is being WAY too gracious. It is YOU who should be silencing himself. I hope you realize that these threats are a crime, and what YOU are doing is actually a violation of the 1st amendment. This community will not allow such violent drivel. I expect this paper to step up and find you.
Andrea- this looks like a fun time.
John- your comments show who should be silenced. How is learning a skill that was used prior to the use of chemical dyes “hippie bunch of crap”?
