Tomales senior wins Bodega Bay scholarship

The Bodega Bay Firefighters Association has given Tomales High senior Teresa Vega a $1,000 scholarship.

Vega was selected because of her 3.83 GPA, her participation as a varsity basketball and soccer player; her contributions to Tomales High School student government and the “Link Crew;” and her community service activities, including coaching a West Marin girl’s basketball team for Sacred Heart Church in Olema and volunteering her time at Petaluma Valley Hospital.

Vega will be attending Dominican University in San Rafael majoring in nursing. She wants become a pediatric nurse and specialize in children with cancer.
