Summer organic plant sale

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 | Posted by | no responses

Gardeners in the know can rejoice that their wait for the organic summer plantings from the Mother Garden is over. The Occidental Arts and Ecology Center is holding its annual sale Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6, at 15290 Coleman Valley Rd. in Occidental. The sale will; be in full swing  from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are also offering tours of the 37 year old, eight acre organic garden, lovingly dubbed the Mother Garden at 2 p.m. Saturday and at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday.  It’s a free event and it’s an opportunity to see where your heirloom, organic plant starts were born.

And just in case you can’t make it to the sale this weekend you have a second chance on Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. when there will be a second, scaled down plant sale. Call 874-1557 for more information.
