Occidental artist opens show

Wine Country Group Realtors by Better Homes and Gardens is holding an artist reception for its Artist Showcase series. The show features the work of Occidental artist Marylu Downing known for her colorful, whimsical and wistful paintings. The show is Friday May 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The reception is at 7300 Healdsburg Ave. Ste. B in Sebastopol. The exhibit will run through Aug. 1.
