A stroll through the coastal prairie

On Saturday, June 2 Kathleen Kraft, a native grassland expert, will lead a hike through the coastal prairie on Bodega Pastures, a Bodega ranch. Wildflowers are in bloom and according to Kraft coastal prairie community is a highly variable and diverse mixture of native perennial grasses and forbs, native and non-native annual forbs, and non-native grasses. Learn about it and discover what a forb is. Just show up at the Bodega Post Office at 10 a.m. where those interested can sort themselves into car pools to the ranch.
