On Wednesday (4/25) Sebastopol Senior Center is making a field trip to the Renga Art Gallery in south Sebastopol, then to High Tea at Angelica’s Patisserie downtown. The cost, which includes the High Tea, is $43. Call 829-2440 to reserve space. The center is at 167 N. High St.
On Thursday (4/26) the Sebastopol Senior Center takes off on a two day trip to Reno. The cost is $95 per person for a double room, $105 for a single room. The bus leaves at 8 a.m. sharp from St. Stephen’s Church at 500 Robinson Rd. in Sebastopol. Rooms are at the Sands Hotel. There is a stop at the Nugget Casino in Sparks for 3 hours, $5 free play. There’s a 3 hour stop at Cal Neva with $5 free play, and on Friday a 4 hour stop at Silver Legacy $6 free play, and 3 hours at Boomtown $4 free play. Returns at 8:45 p.m. to Sebastopol. Thursday (4/26) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is holding a workday at the Carrington Ranch in Bodega Bay at the corner of Bay Hill Rd. and Hwy. 1. Go to www.stewardsofthecoastandredwoods.org to register for the event and get details.
On Saturday at Occidental Center for the Arts there will be an afternoon of jazz with the Blue Note Collective beginning at 4 p.m. The center is at 4008 Bohemian Hwy. at Harmony Village in Occidental. On Saturday(4/28) the 2012 Fisherman’s Festival Begins in Bodega Bay. The festival is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Russian arrival. There will be the Wooden Boat Challenge in which participants have from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to construct a craft, then at 1:30 p.m. race them – those that don’t sink may win the prize! There will be continuous entertainment at West Side Park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be traditional small craft including Russian Navy long boats, kite flying, CHP and Sheriff’s Dept. helicopters, crafts, food, beer and wine. Admission is $12 each day, $10 for seniors, kids under 12 free. Parking is free. On Sunday the Blessing of the Fleet and boat parade begins about 10 a.m. This is the traditional part of the 39th annual festival.

Sunday (4/29) at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center there will be a benefit Ghana Women and Children & North American Collective called Dancing Without Borders from 4 to 8 p.m. It features world music food and drink which is all included for a $25 ticket available at www.brownpapertickets.com or can be reserved by calling 604-7044.
There will be a Beltane Ritual at Ragle Ranch Park in Sebastopol Sunday (4/29). A gathering begins at 3:30 p.m. and the ritual starts at 4 p.m. Presented by North Bay Reclaiming.
