Services for Ranger Rick set
Services for Ranger Rick Kaufman will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 3, at the St. Philip’s Parish Hall in Occidental. Kaufman’s mother, Kathryn Kaufman Runcie, has decided to bury her son at Occidental in the Druid’s Cemetery.
Henry Baker, who manages the cemetery, is donating a plot. Organizers say they will bring in a marching band for the services and show videos of Ranger Rick. Many refer to the colorful Occidental character as the town’s unofficial mayor.
