Shell Beach field trip scheduled

The Rancho Bodega Historical Society has canceled its Oct. 1 storytelling event at Bodega Bay Grange Hall and instead will hold a field trip to Shell Beach on the Sonoma Coast north of Bodega Bay on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. Retired geology professor Terry Wright will lead the group and discuss the geological history of the area. It’s free.

Those going are advised to wear sturdy shoes. To prepare, attendees can read, print out and bring along Professor Wright’s field notes about Shell Beach.
