Redwood Arts Council opens new season
Redwood Arts Council, which has been bringing world class music to Occidental for decades, opens its new season with a performance by New York Polyphony on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. at the Occidental Center for the Arts. It is a male a cappella group singing medival and contemporary music. Tickets are $25, $10 for students at www.brownpapertickets.com.
OCA is at 4008 Bohemian Highway in Occidental. The council was the brain child of the late Kit Neustader, and it has found a permanent home at Occidental Center for the ARts due her efforts and that of the late Doris Murphy.
