Berman exhibit at the Local Color Gallery
“Edge of Realism,” a two-person exhibit by Ken Berman and J.C. Henderson, will be at the Local Color Gallery in Bodega Bay until October 9.
Berman describes his work as “industrial with architectonic and mechanical influences referencing Cubism, Constructivism, Dadaism and the Steampunk movement. In arranging the compositions for my paintings, I combine both static and dynamic elements that allow the eye to flow around the objects simulating movement. Then, in rendering the final image, I combine a variety of textures, hints of color, glances of light and finally some smoke/steam imbuing the image with a delicate touch that transcends its underlying mechanical references.”
“Edge of Realism” by Berman with J.C. Henderson, will be shown until Oct. 9th. Local Color Gallery is just off Highway One. The gallery features original art by established Sonoma County artists as well as emerging talent. Free. 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Local Color Gallery, 1580 Eastshore Road, Bodega Bay. 707-875-2744.
