Orientation Planned for New Coast Open Space

 

Landpaths, a non-profit organization, is conducting a orientation to the Carrington Ranch at the corner of Coleman Valley Road and Coast Highway 1 north of Bodega Bay. The one hour training is planned May 15 from 2 – 3 p.m. And requires prior registration at www.landpaths.org or by calling 544-7284.

The historic property was acquired by Sonoma County Agricultural Preserve and Open Space District with the intention of eventually turning it over to State Parks.

Since currently, State Parks does not have the funds to open the new acquisition, limited access is permitted only after an individual completes an orientation. Landpaths has offered to work with the agencies to provide the access training. Willow Creek just south of Jenner is another coastal range property that falls into the limited access category.
