Spectacular Views of Sonoma Coast Possible
If the weather cooperates this Saturday, November 6th, coast views from on high will be possible on a free hike up into the Jenner Headlands.
The Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods will lead what they warn will be a strenuous hike meant only for experienced hikers.
It will be a 4-mile round trip ascending to more than 800 feet and on what is sometimes an uneven and rough trail.
Although there is no charge, pre-registration is required so that a return call or email can be received from the Stewards regarding the meeting point and other information.

The hike starts at 10:00am and ends at 3:30pm. Participants must bring a lunch and fluids.
Sturdy hiking boots and layers of clothing are a must.
The Jenner Headlands became part of the California State Parks earlier this year with the acquisition of a 5,630 acre ranch just north of the town of Jenner.

This is a great opportunity to look at pelagic cormorants.
