“A fun way to spend a day”
A chance to do some early holiday shopping is on offer at Salmon Creek on Saturday and Sunday, November 6th & 7th.
Artists’ studios will be open free to the public between 10:00am-5:00pm both days in the small community about one mile north of the town of Bodega Bay. (Turn left on Bean Avenue just before crossing the Salmon Creek bridge.)
The Holiday ArtWalk is an offshoot of the Salmon Creek ArtWalk that has been taking place the first weekend of May since 2001.
Founder Diana Bundy describes the resident artists as a “small Bohemian group” who work in their home studios near the sea.
Bundy is particularly inspired by the location and calls her works of art “Beachy Stuff.”
Other resident ArtWalk members include: Beth Fletcher, Photography and photo imaging; Ange’l Fiorito-Leddy, Handmade footwear and custom leather designs; Lillian Lehman, Figurative sculpture and mixed media; and Liz Stafford, Pastels, prints and gourds.
Non-residents are invited to apply to display their work as guest artists in Salmon Creek during the two annual ArtWalk weekends. Contact Bundy at 707-875-9609 or by email to info@salmoncreekartwalk.com for more information
Guest artists on November 6th & 7th include: Patty Pieropan Dong, watercolor and oil painting; Janet H. Elmore, watercolors; Guadalupe Aguilar, pottery figures; Carolyn Horan, ceramics; Nora Daniel, hand-painted silk; Nancy Morgan, ceramics; Jerry and Deborah Kermode, fine woodturning; and Hazel Flett, hand spun yarn and accessories.
Bundy encourages everyone coming out to the coast to stop by and visit the studios and talk to the artists. “It’s a fun way to spend a day.”
